Product information: White fine needle-like or oblique columnar crystals. Odorless, bitter taste, easy to weather in dry air. Specific gravity 1.68. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerol. Dissolved in its own crystal water at 67.5 ℃. It is decomposed by heat and loses four molecules of crystal water at 70-80℃. About 200 ℃ lose all crystal water into anhydrous.

Uses: Mainly used in the manufacture of fertilizers, tanning, printing and dyeing, catalysts, papermaking, plastics, porcelain, pigments, matches, explosives and fireproofing materials. It can be used for printing and dyeing thin cotton cloth and silk, as a weighting agent for cotton silk and a filler for kapok products; it is used as Epsom salt in medicine.
